8:00 a.m. -3:30 p.m. each school day, unless otherwise announced or posted on the door.
Open during both lunch periods.
Librarian will take her lunch periods.

Classes - |
The library may be reserved for classes 5 days ahead of time, on the first come basis.
Teachers must schedule & collaborate with Mrs. Hinojosa.
Teachers must remain with their classes at all times while their classes are in the library and monitor their students.
When a teacher is absent, his/her scheduled class day in the library will be cancelled and rescheduled.
A Substitute may not send/bring students to the library. |
Rules - |
PASSES
- Students or small groups (limit 4 at a time per class) may be sent to the library during class-time.
- Only faculty and administrators can send/assign students to the library.
- Teachers should specify an assignment and time limit.
- The librarian reserves the right to send a student back to class due to misbehavior or other reason.
EQUIPMENT USE
- Equipment must be reserved 5 days in advance. Please use the designated Sign-Up Form.
- TV/VCR/DVD units are checked out on a daily basis. TVs must be picked up by the teacher and returned at the end of his/her last class period. Equipment will not be released to Substitutes (See criteria for Fair Use.) or to students. TVs bigger than 20" will not circulate to the portable buildings. Please report all equipment concerns and/or problems to me. Replacement bulbs will be provided as needed.
- Books/Software may be checked out at any time. Videos shown in the classroom must have prior clearance from an Administrator (See Teachers' Resource book, p. 30). They must be returned promptly after use so that others can have access to their use.
- Faculty/Staff members will be held accountable/responsible for materials and/or equipment checked out (loss or damage).

Computer Lab - |
Twenty-four (24) networked stations are in the library lab. See #2 Class Use above.
Teachers will need to schedule with Mrs. Hinojosa with one week's prior notice.
Teachers will actively monitor their students' use of the computers.
Reminder: Students will be required to comply with the District Acceptable Use Policy in order to use the Internet.
Teachers need to make sure that their students have an Internet Contract on file. See Student Handbook. |
